Borderline by Shabri Prasad Singh is a psychological thriller based on borderline personality disorder. Most of us must be unaware of this disorder, including me, until I read the book.
The story of the book revolves around Amrita Srivastava who suffered from this disease due to the troubles that she had endured in her life right from the childhood. The story begins on a pessimistic and very thrilling note in which the protagonist describes her journey. She had a younger sister too who was entirely the opposite of her. She had a very strong connection with her father. After her father’s death, her life changes entirely. She struggles to survive in the world all alone. Her personality takes shifts to an alcoholic and drug addict character.
The book describes the struggle of a girl who suffers from borderline personality disorder. The way she deals with it is highly motivational. The book carries a deep message of struggling to survive despite all odd circumstances. From the start to the end the book was a package of emotions, suspense and psychology. Overall Rating: 4/5
‘The Letters In The Rain’ by Anubhav Shrivastava and Ananya Roy is a thriller novel. The title of the book clearly reveals that the book has a love story in it. When I held the copy of the book the first thing that struck my mind was that why was the book’s name “Letters In The Rain?” When I read the book the suspense opened out. The cover of the book is very attractive like its title. The story is very distinguishing one. The book revolves around the main character of the book Aman. He was always criticized and mocked by his people around him. He lived in an isolated atmosphere. He hardly cared about the way he was treated as his only aim in life was to excel in his career. He only focused on his studies. He had a diary in which he used to jot down his feelings. He considered his diary as his best friend as his diary was the only one with whom he could share his feelings openly. A ray of happiness entered his life when he was paired up with Kiara for a Chemistry project. She brought happiness and friendship in his life and changed his perspective towards life. The book was a very inspiring read for me as it taught me how to be strong even during adverse circumstances and how to be focused towards your goal. Overall, it was a wonderful read.

Murderous Greed by Arun K Nair is a crime thriller that has been dedicated to the author’s wife. The book majorly highlights the bike robberies. In India, bike robbery has become very common. A few bike riders just snatch away expensive ornaments from the victims without even caring about their lives. Many innocent people lose their lives just because they roam freely wearing expensive jewellery. Murderous Greed features two criminal cases in which the bike riders killed two innocent lives. The first case was of a lady Kanaga who was merrily on her way to attend her relative’s wedding when suddenly a bike rider snatches away the ornament she wears and hence she loses her life in the process. The second case was related to a couple in which Karthik and Drishti were on their way to their home when suddenly a bike rider shot Karthik dead while he was driving. By highlighting the crime rate the author has portrayed the threat that lies around every human being. The cover of the book could have been much better. It could have included a bike rider instead of a person carrying a pistol. The title is apt to the theme. The book is written in a lucid and informal language. The book is a perfect balance of dialogues and narration. Overall, it was a thrilling book with a lot of suspense.
